Living with Oxygen

Top of page

This training film is designed to impress upon aircrew the importance of oxygen equipment for high-altitude flying. Decompression chamber experiments show what happens to a subject above the 10 000-foot level without an additional oxygen supply. The theory of pressure breathing is explained through animation. The film covers the theory and application of oxygen protection up to altitudes of 50 000 feet. (Released as a public service by the Royal Canadian Air Force.)
