Forest Highways

Top of page

In British Columbia an enterprising timberlands management program aims to make a vast tree farm of the whole province. This film describes the entire project and the importance to it of an extensive network of roads. Some forest highways are shown being plotted and constructed. The film recalls some of the history of the logging industry in B.C., when waterways were the main means of transport.
