On-the-spot filming of the Université de Moncton students' protest in support of greater recognition of the French fact in New Brunswick. The film records not only the demonstrative parts of the 1968-69 campaign--street marches, petitions, a sit-in--but also the self-searching and the discussion and analysis of their cause that went on among the students themselves in their efforts to re-establish an Acadian identity. The dialogue is in French, with voice-over English translation and some subtitling.
