Prairie: Passing Through

Top of page

A ciné-poem, combining the camera animation of still photos, drawn action and evocative sounds and voices to form a picture of a fading prairie town. The feeling is retrospective, a view of a place where the past clings to peeling walls, to lost voices, to signs creaking in the wind. Some drawn action sequences relieve the reminiscent mood, but it is a glimpse of the prairies where life has eddied and grown still, seen passing through.
