Lower Fort Garry, outside Winnipeg--now being restored as a national historic park--that's who. But the Upper Fort is mentioned too, and the comments are at first-hand from a coquettish lady in blue satin and lace who says she is the ghost of the wife of Sir George Simpson, one-time governor of Rupert's Land and Hudson's Bay Company territories. What she has to say of life in the Fort during their tenancy is not what history books emphasize, but it does add an intimate flavor to the restoration.
