The Factory

On the one hand this film examines the relationship of the individual to his job and his circumstances. On the other it affirms that a man is the creator of his own lifestyle. Made in a woodworking plant in northern California, this film illustrates that a stimulating and rewarding working environment, in which the individual participates, is both possible and productive. It is a positive statement against "cop-out" at one extreme and resignation at the other.
