Glass, Rubber, Plastic, The Opportunities for Reuse
This film deals with the methods and business of recycling glass, rubber and plastic waste materials. Problems in recycling glass are primarily related to separating glass from mixed refuse and sorting coloured and clear products. Tires are the major source of rubber to be recycled; recent technological discoveries have allowed material from tires to be used in the manufacture of road-paving material. Because the great variety of types of plastic makes recycling very difficult, re-use is limited to plastic containers as such is proposed as an alternative way to deal with these products.
