Top of page
Description
An account of a government-sponsored beaver conservation project and what it meant to Indigenous trappers of the southeast James Bay area. The film explains how the conservation program was put into effect, and contrasts the economic plight of the Indigenous population, when the beaver had been all but exterminated with the improved living conditions after the area was restocked.
