Description
Impressionistic views of contemporary France, seen through the eyes of a man returning after twenty-five years in Canada. Even Paris seems "an ant-hill of uniformity ..." The camera follows him as he roams in search of France as it was. Eventually he sees that what is truly important from the past survives, although sometimes in new form.
