An account of the production of the giant mural in the foyer of Imperial Oil's new headquarters building in Toronto, by Toronto artist R. York Wilson. Largest mural of its kind in Canada, it depicts the story of oil in semi-abstract design. Step by step the film documents the artist's three-and-a-half year task in planning, sketching and finally transferring his work to the walls of the lobby. The completed work provides an impressive and pleasing highlight to the interior décor of the building.
