Advertising and the New Technology. Broadcast advertising has always been the first testing ground for new techniques in film and video production and post-production. Although its role as "guinea pig" has been somewhat usurped of late by the rock video phenomenon, it nevertheless remains a sensitive barometer of change and progress in production techniques. In this half-day symposium, individuals involved in the field discuss their responses to the new options and their outlook for the near future.
