Description
This film, shot in Naples in 1944, illustrates two diseases that are normally rare in a highly civilized society: typhus and smallpox. The cause and nature of typhus fever and the smallpox rash are indicated by subtitles, and cases are described and illustrated. This film was made with the technical advice of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.
