The story of Canada during World War II, as experienced by Canadians at home and on the battlefront. Canada at War, Part 5: Ebbtide (24 min. 30 sec.) and Canada at War, Part 6: Turn of the Tide (24 min. 52 sec.) cover Canadian involvement in World War II from July 1942 to July 1943. Canadian troops are repulsed at Dieppe. Lancaster bombers, built in Canada, are flown to Europe by bush pilots. The Allies' strength is beginning to be felt on several fronts. The RCAF joins in air strikes against Germany.
