Canada's Huge Wheat Crop Relieves World Shortage: In 1946 Canadian farmers harvested their biggest crop since 1942. This item shows the crop being cut in different parts of the country. Finally we see representatives of Canada and the United Kingdom signing an agreement by which 600 million bushels of the wheat will be sold to Britain. Helicopter Speeds Mail Delivery: A new way of getting the mail through faster by using helicopters has been worked out. This item shows a helicopter picking up mail from a Trans-Canada Airlines plane that has just landed outside of Ottawa, and rushing it to the Ottawa Post Office. Canada's Postmaster General is a spectator at the first helicopter mail flight. Alcan Military Highway Prepares for Tourist Travel: A forecast of travel prospects on the Alcan Highway is given in this item. Some of the tourist attractions here are suggested in pictures of fishing, panning for gold and motoring through mountain scenery.
