In a crab cannery another ordinary day is quietly beginning. Then, at the sound of a bell, dozens of women start shelling crabs, some using hammers and others at machines with rollers. The film follows the whole operation, right through to packaging, at a pace that compels us to ponder this essential component of Atlantic Canada's economy. Without words.
