Description
In December, 1939, the First Division of the Canadian Active Service Force sailed into the Atlantic fogs, bound for England. With them went the good wishes and the anxious thoughts of a nation. How would they be received? Would they have comfortable quarters? What yarns would they spin to their English comrades? What would they think of a blacked-out London? How much leisure would they get? These and many other questions were answered in this intimate "letter home" from the men serving overseas.
