Children of Canada 3

This collection of three films from the Children of Canada series introduces us to Antonio Rossi in My Friends Call Me Tony. Since Tony is virtually blind, mobility is a special challenge. Nevertheless, he likes to cook lunch for his friends, toboggan, play hockey, and hunt for stars (12 min. 7 sec.). Steven Thomas Holland, the son of a lighthouse-keeper, is the gracious host on Beautiful Lennard Island with a population of four (six, if you count the dog and the ghost). He dispels any notions that living in isolation is boring (23 min. 45 sec.). It's Just Better: At the Cape Breton farmhouse where Shawn Peter Dwyer lives with his mother and nine siblings, a team effort keeps the family going. The children's pockets are usually empty, but their lives are exceptionally well filled. (15 min. 23 sec.).
