A collection of films about Inuit drawings, prints and carvings. Eskimo Artist: Kenojuak: A film essay on an Inuit printmaker, showing the sources of her inspiration as well as the process of stone-printing (19 min. 49 sec.). The Living Stone: The carving of stone, ivory and bone is a highly developed craft among the Inuit. Their approach is to release the image imprisoned within the material (30 min. 30 sec.). Sananguagat: Inuit Masterworks: Scenes from an exhibition of Inuit carvings alternate with shots of the land where they were created and the people who made them (24 min. 51 sec.). Pictures Out of My Life: This film presents a prize collection of works and comments from one of the most famous Cape Dorset graphic artists, Pitseolak (13 min. 9 sec.).
