Arthur Erickson: The architect talks easily about his art, the importance of harmony between a structure and its environment, and the cultural role of buildings (28 min. 40 sec.). A House on the Prairie: The first settlers of Canada's west built homes that were inappropriate for the environment. These are examined along with several examples of new and experimental western Canadian architecture (17 min. 42 sec.).
