A collection of titles detailing how four women overcame alcoholism, addiction and abuse. Lorri: The Recovery Series: Lorri checked into a psychiatric ward when she was overcome with feelings of terror, worthlessness and hatred. There she discovered that her symptoms were common to alcoholism and embarked on her recovery, which entailed coming to terms with being gay (14 min. 5 sec.); Ruth: The Recovery Series: Ruth turned to alcohol and heroin to blot out a childhood of physical, mental and sexual abuse. To her joy, she was able to overcome her self-destructive behaviours (14 min. 18 sec.); Delia: The Recovery Series: Delia, a professional therapist, got so involved in her work that she turned to alcohol to relieve the stress. It was hard for her to go from being a therapist to being a patient (12 min. 13 sec.); and Debby and Sharon: The Recovery Series: Debby and Sharon, sisters, grew up in an alcoholic family. Mutual support keeps them sober, as does a renewed commitment to their Indigenous culture (15 min. 18 sec.).
