Coho Salmon on the Fly

Top of page

Summer and early fall is salmon fishing time for the Pacific fly fisherman. In a Vancouver Island inlet we watch Al McClaine, fishing editor of Field and Stream magazine, as he casts in the waters chosen by his guide. As the fish strikes, the line quivers, a salmon leaps and twists and the fisherman, arms extended, patiently plays it within reach of the net. An angler's film, Coho Salmon identifies the sporting salmon and flies and tackle to be used.
