Disposal of 2800 Tons of Mustard Gas

Following the end of World War II the Department of National Defence was faced with the problem of disposing of tons of surplus mustard gas. The 10 219 drums of gas were loaded onto a boat and then sunk in 1350 fathoms of water off the Atlantic coast of Canada.
