THIS FILM IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION. In the mid-1800s, young John Brown left the restrictive society of Ireland to make his fortune. What happened after that drove him to the brink of madness and to murder. In an era when Canada was young, wild, beautiful and terrifying, Kootenai Brown saw, and survived it all. In the gold fields of British Columbia, Brown befriended Eben McTooth: a robber and cheat. Unable to lose McTooth, Brown's life became a series of unfortunate and sometimes terrifying business ventures from gold mining, selling alcohol to the natives and finally wolf hunting. Again and again, the wily McTooth reappeared promising a bright tomorrow if they would only work together. Eventually the unhappy partnership would end in murder. Based on a true story.
