This collection of five videos profiles the daily lives of five children living in Jerusalem. Children of Jerusalem - Asya is a portrait of an 11 year old Russian immigrant and her family's adjustment to a new life in Israel (29 min.). Children of Jerusalem - Neveen describes the life of a 12 year old Palestinian girl who lives in the Shufat refugee camp on the outskirts of Jerusalem (29 min. 9 sec.). Children of Jerusalem - Tamar: 10-year-old Tamar plays the tuba. We look at her daily life and see how it is affected by the conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbours (29 min. 49 sec.). Children of Jerusalem - Yacoub: A portrait of nine-year-old Yacoub, a Palestinian boy living in the Christian quarter. He studies English and French at school, shops at outdoor markets and helps at his uncle's falafel shop. We see how his life is affected by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict (29 min. 48 sec.). Children of Jerusalem - Yehuda: Ten-year-old Yehuda is an example of the Hassidic belief in the joy and celebration of prayer. Living with his parents and ten brothers and sisters in West Jerusalem, Yehuda is filled with pride as he describes preparations for the festival of Sukkot, his prayers, and his family (26 min. 5 sec.).
