The Legend of the Flying Canoe (La Chasse-galerie): A group of loggers working in an isolated winter camp yearn to celebrate New Year's Eve with their loved ones, but swirling snow makes travelling impossible. If the men want to see their families, their only choice is to make a pact with the Devil to ride in a flying canoe... This spine-tingling tale is based on a popular Quebec legend (10 min. 32 sec.). A Sufi Tale: The inhabitants of a village learn to overcome their fear of the unknown. This film without words is based on an old Persian parable (8 min. 16 sec.). Icarus: Daedalus, inventor of many things, provides the wings to escape from Crete, but Icarus, his son, impetuously flies too close to the sun.
