A series of film documenting life on the land and the river between Quebec City and Blanc Sablon in a simpler time when all one needed was a riverful of salmon weirs, a rock where seabirds lay their eggs, a lobster bed and clam flats, and a cove for collecting driftwood, along with a cliff where the ducks pass overhead, a field black with Canada geese, a forest for hunting hares and a marsh for partridge.
