The Tuktu series was compiled from footage of the Netsilik people of Pelly Bay. Volume 3 contains: Tuktu and the Magic Spear (14 min. 15 sec.) We join Tuktu and his family as they spear fish in winter and summer. (1967); Tuktu and the Ten Thousand Fishes (14 min. 18 sec.) Tuktu's family travel to a favourite summer fishing spot. Here, they reconstruct an old stone weir to trap fish, and then spear them by the hundreds. The weeks to come will be a time of plenty. (1967); Tuktu and the Magic Bow (14 min. 16 sec.) We watch Tuktu's father in the delicate process of making a bow. During winter, he and some friends make snowmen and snow bears, then use their bows in a competition of shooting skills. (1968)
