Nine videos documenting Inuit resilience in the change from nomadic to settled life. Volume 8 contains: Northern Games (25 min. 40 sec.) The Northern Games, which are held in a spirit of co-operation, not competition, are an opportunity to renew old ties, as people gather from all over the Arctic. This video features footage from the 1978 and 1980 games, with events like fish-filleting and seal-skinning races and a harpoon-throwing contest.
