The Older Women's Long-Term Survival of Calgary (OWLS), which is one of the longest standing support programs for older women survivors of abuse, has recently produced a resource package intended to heighten an awareness of the impact of abuse in the lives of older women. This resource package will help address the impact of domestic violence on the quality of life for older women, and assist service providers working with domestic violence issues to respond more sensitively and proactively to an ever-growing segment of the population. It is hoped that older women survivors of abuse accessing the material will derive a level of comfort and strength from the content in this video, which will also be helpful to service providers and the general public.
