In Eaude, director Thea Pratt explores the exhilarating moment of a poetic dive through the mind's landscape of watery reflections. The free movement of the animated puppet diver is inspiration to a framework influenced by the works of Norman McLaren, Leni Riefenstahl and Busby Berkeley. Meanwhile, dancing light, frothing oceans, rolling rivers and calm lakes describe in photographic images the diver's own stream of consciousness.

Eaude is Pratt’s professional debut and was made for Hothouse 2, the NFB’s program for emerging filmmakers, whose central theme was “Water and Our Relationship to It.”.
