Canadian Engineers Laying Field Telephones
Various means of communication used in the war are shown. Messengers deliver orders to officers, signallers use flags to transmit messages and engineers set up telephone lines. Telegraphy and homing pigeons are also used to transmit information. Finally, commanders-in-chief Currie and Haig send a special missive congratulating their troops.
