La narratrice du court métrage Le poète danois réfléchit à ces questions en suivant Kasper, un poète en panne d'inspiration en vacances en Norvège pour rencontrer Sigrid Undset, une célèbre écrivaine. Dans sa quête d'inspiration, Kasper découvre que le mauvais temps, un chien enragé, des planches de grange glissantes, un facteur négligeant, des chèvres affamées et d'autres éléments apparemment indépendants pourraient après tout exercer une grande influence sur le fil de la vie.
