Description
Waves Across the Seaway is a quirky portrait of K103.7 FM, the radio station that broadcasts from Kahnawake, Quebec, the Mohawk reserve that sits twenty minutes away from downtown Montreal. Bingo, native rights, hip-hop and wrestling are all in the mix at this one-of-a-kind community radio station. The K broadcasts a ton of attitude from a shack on the edge of the St. Lawrence Seaway and is heard all across the big city and its suburbs, straddling the wide cultural gap between Mohawks and their neighbours. Produced with the assistance of the NFB's FAP program.
