In Somewhere, Kwan will take audiences inside this closed community to meet some of the people most affected by these changes, exploring an exclusive world through the eyes of ordinary people working and living in Vancouver’s Chinatown as well as the entrepreneurs who are attempting to revitalize it. The film explores a community in a state of flux,a scenario that’s playing out in ethnic enclaves across North America as mom-and-pop stores compete with major chains.
