A brief foray into the depths of a body of work that is ironic, critical, iconoclastic, intuitive, sensual, loving and “political” in the broadest sense, this short pays tribute to filmmaker Jean Pierre Lefebvre via a montage consisting entirely of excerpts from his films. Rich, exuberant and too often overlooked, Lefebvre’s works are composed of images that reflect an extraordinarily powerful and keen vision that is both existential and poetic.
