NFB wins OCTAS Award

Montreal, June 4, 2012 – On Saturday, June 2, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) won an OCTAS Award in the Mobile Solutions category for its iPad application, developed in collaboration with WhereCloud. The application provides free viewing access to over 2,000 NFB short and long documentary, animated and fiction films.

The OCTAS gala was held at the Quebec City Convention Centre with Jean-Yves Roy, CEO of the Institut national d'optique (INO), serving as honorary president. OCTAS awards have been granted annually since 1987 by Réseau ACTION TI in recognition of excellence in Quebec's information technology sector.
