NFB interactive installation Échos at the Quebec City Convention Centre

Press release

Montreal, July 3, 2012 – Discover how joy, anger, sadness and love are expressed in French around the world, from Acadia to Burkina Faso, through Échos, a daring interactive installation by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB)—12 countries, 8 emotions and 20 films describing these emotions in everyday language. Have a look at what's on screen, listen to the differences in language, play around with the films and make your own contribution. You will encounter many different forms of spoken and written French and get to share your own words as well. A great way to appreciate the rich diversity of the international Francophonie!

An NFB production created specially for the French Language World Forum 2012, Échos is open to the public, free of charge, at the Quebec City Convention Centre, July 3 to 5 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
