Less than three weeks left to speak up!

In addition to participating in these events, members of the public can speak at the microphone themselves on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 11 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 a.m. The Megaphone event wraps up on Monday, November 4, the day after Montreal's municipal elections, with the mic turned on one last time until 11 p.m.

Voices rocking the city

See excerpts of Megaphone speeches given on October 11 by Montreal's mayoral candidates, who imagined how our city might be in 2023 after a decade under their administration. This memorable evening was presented by ICI Radio-Canada and hosted by Michel Désautels.

Megaphone is an interactive public-speaking experience in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles on the Promenade des Artistes. To complement this installation, an audiovisual exhibition presenting Quebec's greatest orators has been set up along the Promenade. Both Megaphone and the exhibition will run Wednesdays through Saturdays and, exceptionally, on Monday, November 4, starting at 7 p.m. Watch the demonstration video.

Megaphone is co-produced by the National Film Board of Canada and the Quartier des spectacles, created by the Moment Factory, and directed by Étienne Paquette.
