Chinese Canadians

Haut de la page

Fred Davis visits Vancouver's Chinatown and presents a first-hand account of many aspects of business and community life in this largest centre of Chinese population in Canada. Western influence is apparent everywhere. In contrast are the efforts of older generation Chinese to preserve some of the traditions, religious observances and culture of the Orient that also make a colourful contribution to Canadian life.
