The film singles out a logging cooperative formed by the men of the village of St. Camille de Bellechasse, Québec. It shows how the lumberjacks--most of them farmers using their free time in winter for substantial extra earnings--pool their efforts in a united drive to fulfill a contract for pulpwood before the spring thaw.
