Canadian Mail

Haut de la page

Someone writes a letter; someone else gets it--in between lies all the personal, mechanical and organizational effort of Canada's postal service. Mail is dropped by plane to northern outposts, thrust into the rural roadside boxes, and pigeon-holed in the village post office. In the city post-offices, thousands of pieces of mail race through the machines. Coast to coast, north to south, summer and winter, the business of ensuring human communication never slackens.
