This compilation includes films made by Norman McLaren from 1939-1941: NBC Greeting: A greeting for broadcast by NBC television on Valentine's Day, 1940 (1 min. 20 sec.); Stars and Stripes: 'Stars' and 'stripes' perform acrobatics to a march tune (3 min. 25 sec.); Dots (2 min. 47 sec.) and Loops (3 min. 15 sec.): Experimental films in which both sound and visuals were created entirely by drawing directly on film with pen and ink; and Boogie-Doodle: 'Boogie' played by Albert Ammons and 'doodle' drawn by Norman McLaren combine to make a rhythmic, brightly coloured film experiment (3 min. 22 sec.).
