Haut de la page

Two films about how children cope with family crises. Differences: Chris, a young boy on the verge of adolescence, resents the presence of Emma, a Native girl who is visiting his home. Pressured by his parents to welcome her, by his friends to reject her, and by his own awareness of Emma's loneliness, Chris must decide where his loyalties lie (17 min. 7 sec.). Left Out: When Amy's unemployed parents can't afford to send her on a school trip, Amy must overcome her anger and resentment to realize that a lack of money does not necessarily mean a lack of love (24 min. 10 sec.).
