Thirsty Cities looks at the problems related to water supply in Mexico City, Lima, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo--conservation, pollution and sanitation. These are great cities of Latin America with proud histories. They are different from North American and European cities, but also remarkably the same. Many of the water issues they are grappling with today are on the horizon for large cities everywhere.
