First Nations have always respected the resources of their rivers and oceans, but within their own lifetime, they have watched governments "manage" the fishery into a state of crisis. Now it's time to listen to what Natives have to say.

My Village in Nunavik
Filmmaker Bobby Kenuajuak was born in 1976 in a village in Nunavik, in northern Quebec. Here he filmed three seasons, tenderly portraying the land and his people. This is an unsentimental film by a young Inuk who is open to the outside world but remains attached to the traditional way of life.
